First Meeting

Josh was the first to enter the meeting room. Today was the first meeting of the year and he was intrigued to find out who would be joining him. In the middle of the room was a long mahogany table. He sat at the chair at the top of the table and waited.

It was the first time Erika had been in the base. She had already gotten lost four times but she had only een a member of the Xmen for two days which was her excuse and a damn good one at that. Her long purple tail swished behind her as she made her way into the meeting room. "Hello Josh" she greeted and sat down at the table.

"Erika" Josh nodded. "It is so good to see you joining us" he said as he watched her sit down. Ever since he had seen the young lady in a fight with a group of mutant haters, he knew that she was someone he wanted for his x men. "Did you find your way around alright?"

"Perfectly" Erika lied. She didn't see any reason to mention how many times she had gotten lost. "I wasnt expecting this place to be so big when you mentioned it to me" she said, drawling slightly as her tail swished as she thought.

"That is good" Josh smiled. He could easily read her mind and her thoughts and knew she was lieing but didn't mention anything.

"Hardly" Erika muttered. "Are we waiting for anyone else?" she asked.

Logan walked in. He was going to be a new teacher here. He saw two people and walked up to them. "Hello."

"There is another new member, his name is Johnathan but he has not arived yet" Josh said. He looked up upon hearing someone and nodded. "Hello, you must be Logan Howlett"

"Yes, I am," Logan said, his duffle bag over his shoulder.

Erika's head snapped to the door when she heard a voice. She nodded curtly to him. She had not seen him this morning and he couldn't have been this Johnathan. It made sence when she heard what Josh called him.

"I just got here from Xavier's School For Gifted Youngsters," he said. "I was a little lost, but I found my way."

"That is good, I am Josh Cooper" Josh nodded. He looked over to Erika and wondered why she wasn't saying anything. She was usually full of opinions that she never had trouble saying. "This is Erika Cooper, one of the new members that you will be helping"

"Helpin'?" he asked. "With what?"

Erika's tail swished violently when she caught the last bit that Josh said. What the hell was this thing supose to help her with!
"You caniving prat" she growled a litte, glaring daggers at Josh.

Josh mearly chuckled at Erika's words. "As young Erika has just clearly demonstrated, she can be very hot headed" he smirked at her. "I supose you were not told that we needed someone clear minded to set an example"

"Set an example for and as what?" Logan asked. He knew that he himself could be hotheaded sometimes. He was a loner, too.

"Just ignore him, I didn't agree to anything" Erika glared and crossed her arms.

"Well, I ain't no babysitter," Logan said. "I have watched the kids a few times at Xavier's, but I ain't a babysitter."

"Nothing like that I assure you Logan" Josh said. "Mearly that you two will be put together for missions really" he explained.

Erika's head snapped to Logan and glared. Babysitter? How old did he think she was! She rolled her eyes as she listened to Josh.

He just sighed. "Alright, Oh, I should tell ya 'bout my mutation."

"Yes, I wasn't told much" Josh nodded.

"I am a feral mutant. I have enhanced senses and enhanced healin' capibilities. I can heal very quickly." He popped his claws. "I got these. They are covered in metal along with my bones. The metal was surgerically put on my bones. . .I don't remember much about it, 'cause I got memory loss, but I do know that I am around 130 years old or a little more."

Erika looked at his claws. She frowned a little when she heard him but quickly stopped before anyone noticed. "Great, stuck with an old mutt" she muttered.

"I've got a brother who's older."
